Julian Speroni: Under pressure in the first quarter and produced one outstanding save but had little to do after that. 8
Nathanial Clyne: Deservedly kept his place and was disciplined not to expose himself by going forward too much in the second half. 7
Paddy McCarthy: Dominated Sibierski in the first half and made countless interceptions and tackles throughout. 9
Jose Fonte: Had the tricky Lita in his pocket all night and read the game superbly. Is getting better game by game. Man of the match. 9
Clint Hill: Struggled against Croft in the second half and was left exposed for the Norwich goal but he got stuck in when he needed to. 7
Ben Watson: Playing the holding role he broke up play superbly in the middle of the park and was very disciplined not to get forward as much as usual. 9
John Oster: An absolutely sublime goal showed his Premiership class though Norwich exploited his defensive frailties for their goal. 8
Nick Carle: Does a lot of the simple work and keeps play going without being a massive presence. 7
Sean Scannell: Was not very well but it didn’t show. He was full of running again and constantly harassed the City backline. 8
Craig Beattie: In an unfamiliar left-wing role and Norwich played on his defensive inabilities. Took his goal very well. 8
Shefki Kuqi: Ran his socks off and won almost everything in the air. He wasted a few attacks but was shattered by the time he was subbed. 9
SUBS:
Shaun Derry (Carle, 66): Shored up the midfield in the face of constant pressure. 7
Calvin Andrew (Kuqi, 80): Did ok but needs to know how to hold up play better. 6
Matt Lawrence (Beattie, 90): No time. 5
