Neil Danns enjoyed a triumphant return to action last night, scoring in the reserves 3-2 victory over Queens Park Rangers.
The midfielder, playing a competitive game of football for the first time since March due a injury, has endured a nightmare time since signing from Birmingham in January, making only two league starts and two substitute appearances for the first team.
But he returned yesterday and won a penalty, which striker Simon Thomas scored to open the scoring in the 23rd minute, and then pounced on Nathaniel Clyne’s cross to double the lead after the break.
Goals from Angelo Balanta and Hogan Ephraim bought the R’s level before Michael Abnett scored late on to secure victory.
