Hello and welcome to Selhurst Park for Crystal Palace vs Plymouth Argyle, with myself Neil McSteen.

Neil Warnock is looking to bounce back after the 2-1 defeat away to Wolves mid-week, and with Palace solid at home the visit of Argyle should provide a chance to at least grab a draw.

Palace head in 1-0 down at the break, the first goal they have conceded at Selhurst Park in the league. The goal came for Plymouth in the 28th minute, after a bit of pressure from Paul Sturrock's men resulted in a brace of corners. Luke Summerfield took their second one, played it in low and short to Paul Gallagher, who struck the ball sweetly into the top left of Speroni's goal over the packed 6 yard box.

But Palace have had their fair share of chances, Clint Hill's header being cleared off the line and Paul Ifill's volley being tipped over. Late on, Alan Lee found himself unmarked but could only shoot straight at Larrieu in the Plymouth goal.

Let's hope for better in the second half!

Plymouth kick off. Victor Moses is on for Alan Lee, who had a poor first half. Maybe he is still carrying the injury that has kept him out?

48 minutes gone, and Victor makes an immediate impact, his dipping volley from 20 yards being tipped over by Roman Larrieu. From the resulting corner, the ball fell to Shaun Derry, who from the edge of the area smashes his shot just wide.

51st minute - A lovely touch of skill from Nick Carle, who on the floor with the ball underneath him flicks the ball up and nearly over the keeper.

55th min - GOAL! - Plymouth make it 2-0 when the ball falls to Paul Gallagher from a header from midfield, and with Matt Lawrence backing off he bears down on goal and shoots cleanly past Speroni from just outiside the box. Palace have it all to do.

Palace are toiling in the late September sun, with Paul Ifill increasingly isolated upfront as Moses and Djilai keep going too wide. But Watson has a free-kick now, 30 yards out. He strikes it cleanly over the wall, but Larrieu is down to his left to make a decent save.

63rd min - YELLOW CARD - Fonte is booked for a cynical foul on the half-way line at Plymouth break.

65th min - PALACE Sub. Nick Carle OFF, Patrick McCarthy ON. A defender on for a midfielder? Yes, Fonte is going up front. Desperate

70th min - Luke Summerfield should have made it 3-0, when the ball is passed to him unmarked just outside the area. But from centre-on to the goal with just Speroni to beat, he shoots wide. Palace have gone to pieces.

Mathias Doumbe and Paul Gallagher have also been booked for Argyle.

72nd min - PALACE SUB - Djilali off, Leandre Griffit on.

77th min - PLYMOUTH SUB - Jamie Mackie OFF, Yoann Folly ON. Palace are still huffing and puffing. Argyle have got this game wrapped up and will probably score a third on the break, unless the Eagles can force an equaliser. But everytime they get in the box, it's like pinball in there. We are missing a proper striker.

Crowd of 14,209 today with 1,006 in the away end.

83rd min - Summerfield volleys from 25 yards, but wide.

Plymouth Sub Gallagher OFF, Jermaine Easter ON

85th min - GOAL - Ben Watson shoots from inside the box, tipped over. Watson takes an inswinging corner, Paddy McCarthy stoops to head home! Can Palace steal an underserved draw?

86th min - Neat work from Griffit wins a corner, but Watson's corner can't be controlled by Fonte and Plymouth clear. The Selhurst Park wake-up and try to roar Palace home to a 2-2 draw!

87th min - Palace are about to take an attacking throw over by the away-end, but canny Paul Sturrock makes his third and last sub. Chris Barker OFF, Krisztian Timar ON to much jeering from a crowd that want the game to restart.

4 mins of injury time. Griffit wins a corner. Watson takes, outswinging. Argyle clear. Fonte has just been voted the man of the match hear, but I don't really understand why. Watson has been Palace's best player, but in all honesty that isn't really saying too much. Argyle have been the better side today.

The game is fizzling out here. Argyle are winning free-kicks in the Palace half and the crowd are leaving. The ref blows for FULL TIME, a few boos and jeers. Argyle fans are happy, and they should be. After beating Watford away, they have now beaten Palace.

Warnock has a tough task on his hands. An owner who wants to sell, no money, no strikers and a team who aren't clicking at the moment. Still, at least we are on Sky next week so the whole nation can see us. Join us for the 5.20pm kick-off against Ipswich at Portman Road. Alan Lee has to score.
