British Transport Police are have released a CCTV image of a man they want to identify in relation to the robbery of a cash box at Anerley train station.

Two men entered the station at 9.25am on Thursday, August 21 and grabbed the box from a security guard before fleeing by car.

A 19-year-old has already been arrested in relation to the offence and police have seized a vehicle believed to be connected to the robbery.

BTP Robbery Squad Detective Constable Dave Chenery said: "We have been following a number of leads and remain hopeful that by releasing this CCTV image that members of the public may be able to assist us in identifying this man.

"The man that police would like to identify is described as black, 6ft, was wearing dark tracksuit bottoms and a dark zipped up hooded top.”
