A 23-year-old killed after being stabbed in the neck has been identified as Lucan Alistair Gordon from West Norwood.

Mr Gordon was attacked by another man while standing with a group of people outside the Domino Club in Coldharbour Lane, Brixton at 9pm on Friday.

London Ambulance Service (LAS) rushed Mr Gordon to a south London hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

A postmortem examination was carried out at Greenwich Mortuary at 3pm yesterday and Mr Gordon’s family have been informed of his death.

Police investigating the murder have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Detective Chief Inspector David Garwood, from the Met’s Homicide and Serious Crime Command who is leading the investigation, said: “We are in the early stages of this investigation and are pursuing all avenues of information. If you were in the Coldharbour Lane area around 9pm on Friday night and saw anything that may help our investigation, please contact our incident room on 0208 721 4961.

“Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."

A Met Police spokesman said officers were keeping an open mind as to the motive to this incident.

There have been no arrests and police are continuing their investigations.

Mr Gordon is believed to have come to the UK with his family from Jamaica eight years ago.

Friend Sasha Sinclair, 21, told the BBC: "He wasn't a person who would get into trouble.

"It is a massive shock, he was like family to me."

Mr Gordon is the 27th young person to die in London in violent circumstances this year.
