Residents have filed a complaint after police took 35 minutes to arrive at a domestic violence scene.
Witnesses saw a man and a woman fighting in Ansell Road, Tooting on Friday night and called police at 5.45pm, but officers only arrived at 6.20pm.
In the meantime bystanders became so worried they also called an ambulance, which arrived within five minutes.
One woman said: “We are disgusted by the police. I don’t care how busy they were.”
A police spokesman said the response time was long because officers were dealing with an armed incident elsewhere at the time.
