During the Swansea game there was a guy sat a few feet down from me who made me a little angry.

He was doing radio commentary and quite early on stated that he believed Julian Speroni to be Palace's weak link and that the Swans should target him.

I stared in disbelief.

Unless this guy hasn't seen Jules since those first few games in the Premiership four years ago I don't understand which goalkeeper he has been watching.

Every game you can pretty much bet your life savings on the Argentine pulling off at least one spectacular world class stop.

I thought his save from Zheng Zhi at Charlton last year was one of the best I would ever see but he has already topped that twice this season by first plucking Kevin Doyle's effort out of the top corner at Reading and them somehow keeping out Darren Pratley's close range shot last Saturday.

But that has become the norm for him to do that and we, and probably the Eagles backline, expect it from him.

But it's not just his performances that make him a hit, it's also his personality - the guy could quite simply be the nicest person in the world.

He's never too busy to stop and give the waiting press a word, answering whatever questions we put to him and doing it with a smile and a joke.

The only problem with Jules is that if he keeps playing the way he is, sooner or later a Premiership side will come in for him.

He would never request a transfer and he is obviously very happy at Palace having signed a three-year deal last season, but his impressive performances will catch someone's eye soon.

Whether Palace can turn down a big money offer for him I don't know but if he stays he could easily go on to be one of Palace's best ever keepers, and that's saying something.
