Julian Speroni: Three clean sheets already this season and his two super saves were standard for him. 8
Danny Butterfield: Caught out by Butler a couple of times but generally sound. 7
Matt Lawrence: A good response to his Madejski nightmare, shackling Scotland superbly. 8
Jose Fonte: Came in and looked assured. Didn’t put a foot wrong and should keep his place. 8
Clint Hill: Got forward more than usual and was solid at the back. 7
Shaun Derry: Couldn’t cope with Pratley at the start of the second half but eventually won the battle. 6
Ben Watson: A triumphant return for the midfield maestro. His set-pieces were dangerous every time and he deserved his goal. Man of the match. 8
Nick Carle: Started on the left wing and got stuck in, very good goal too. 7
John Oster: Went off early but looked lively before that. 6
James Scowcroft: Didn’t do much before getting injured. 5
Paul Ifill: Best game in a Palace shirt for a long while but should have scored at least once. 7
SUBS:
Kieron Djilali (Oster, 21): Picked in front of Scannell and Moses and you could see why. Unlucky not to score. 7
Calvin Andrew (Scowcroft, 26): Worked his socks off but needs to practice his finishing. 6
Sean Scannell (Ifill, 86): Little time but should have scored late on. 5
