Neil Danns could be set for a return to the first team next month as he nears fitness following a complicated groin injury.
The midfielder has only made two starts and two substitute appearances since signing for Palace from Birmingham City in January and last appeared in March.
Assistant Palace manager Keith Curle said: “Touch wood he’s a couple of weeks away from actual football training.
“He’s been working his socks off with the physios morning and afternoon building up his strength and he’s progressed now to doing offline running.
“It’s just the football movement he needs to do now.”
