Now, if records are to be believed, Eva Cassidy tragically died in 1996, losing her life to cancer.
During her career, she only ever released one studio album. However, since her death she has managed to release 7 (count em!) albums! Thats more than Tupac – I checked this out, he has only managed to release 6 since he got shot.
She has even squeezed in a collaboration with Katie Melua – I've gotta say, this is all very impressive for someone who has been dead for the last 12 years. I mean, The Verve, who are all very much still with us, have only managed to produce 2 albums in those amount of years. Granted, Richard Ashcroft did release a few solo albums, but not 6 of them!
I suspect (and I am probably gonna be called cruel and insensitive for this), but I sincerely suspect, she is not really dead and she probably somewhere over the rainbow, with a guitar and a mixing desk, working on her next masterpiece that will probably be released this side of Christmas.
.......... I could be wrong though so don't quote me on that.
