Banstead Olympic hopeful Jennifer Goldsack had a star-studded send off to the Beijing Olympics when she met Arnold Schwarzenegger.
California governor Schwarzenegger met Jennifer and her rowing partner Renee Hykel at San Jose University in California.
The Terminator star was interested in what weights the two girls were using in their training regime, according to Jennifer’s mum, Pam.
Pam said China would be tough for the athletes.
“The weather is very hot and humid and, even though the rowing lake is outside of Beijing, due to the haze, they can only see 300 metres of a 2,000 metre course.
“Jen said security is very tight but locals very welcoming and proud to be hosting the Olympics.”
Jennifer is rowing for the US as she has dual nationality – her mum Pam is American.
