Dougie Freedman has lost his number nine shirt at Crystal Palace in a further indication that his time at Selhurst Park is coming to an end.

The veteran Scot has been relegated to number 25 despite the fact no one else has been allocated his old number.

Manager Neil Warnock has previously said that Freedman is unlikely to feature heavily in his first team squad this season and the pair are due to discuss his future after tonight’s testimonial match against Fulham.

Other noticeable changes see Julian Speroni take back the number one shirt he had when he first joined the club in 2004, while new signing Nick Carle takes Clinton Morrison’s vacant number 10 shirt.

Victor Moses is promoted to number 11 with Paul Ifill dropping to 23 and Sean Scannell takes over Ben Watson number 14 shirt, with the wantaway midfielder moved to 24.

Youngsters Ryan Carolan, Jamie Smith, Aaron Dalhouse and Billy Bingham appear on the list for the first time, while Scott Flinders and Shefki Kuqi, both of whom are expected to leave the club before the start of the season, have also been given numbers.
