I’m off to Boston tomorrow for another much needed city break, yet I am not as excited about this as I should be.

Don’t get me wrong, I am eager to go – especially since I have never been to the States before. I’m looking forward to going DVD shopping (god bless multi-region DVD players) and I am hoping to go to the cinema to see Southland Tales. And of course, I am looking forward to taking lots and lots of pictures.

However, in the last few days I haven’t stopped. Holly has had some sort of stomach bug and spent most of Sunday night/Monday morning with her head in the toilet. At first I thought it might be something she had eaten. But yesterday I spoke to my dad and he advised me that my mother has been sick too.

Why should this worry me? Well, my sister and 9 month old nephew were down at the weekend.

Sunday afternoon, my sister was spralled out on the sofa complaining of feeling rough. At the time I thought it was a hangover – she does like a bottle or two… sometimes three… or four… - but yeah, she was saying “I normally don’t feel like this, I normally get head aches”. She then spoke to Matthew on the phone (my older nephew who was back in Milton Keynes) and it turns out he has been sick too.

So, the chances are, the bug has been past on from this little horror, who recently, is also the proud producer of exploding nappies:

I leave for Boston in approximately 24 hours. It’s a 10 hour flight and I must say I was looking forward to having a mile high movie marathon (have checked the in-flight entertainment and there is a good selection of films to watch to pass the time).

However, in light of my girlfriend, my mother, my sister and my nephew all having visits from Jimmy Squits this weekend, I am slightly anxious he will pay me visit too – knowing my luck it will probably be tomorrow during the journey.

So, I think I am going to take plenty of immodium – if I can help it, I’m not having an exploding nappy like my nephew!
