Merton Heritage Day celebrated the borough's rich and diverse history.
The free annual event, held at Morden Library and Merton Civic Centre on Saturday, August 22, attracted families as well as local history enthusiasts.
The day featured local history talks, a giant Raynes Park model railway, and unique mudlark art.
Visitors could also enjoy activities from the Wandle Industrial Museum, Wimbledon Museum, Priory Trust, and Mitcham Camera Club.
A film was screened capturing memories of Wimbledon Greyhound Stadium and the event also provided information about the Merton United Project, a major borough-wide community heritage and cultural project.
Funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, this project is part of Merton's Cultural Impact Award programme and celebrates the diverse multicultural histories, local stories, and communities that have shaped Merton over the past 60 to 70 years.
One of the local artists exhibiting her work was Lesley Heilbron Gelbart who lives in Colliers Wood.
She said: "I take my inspiration from the natural world, travel and the garden.
"At home I have created a Mediterranean courtyard garden and I also volunteer at a community allotment. I love observing nature and the changing seasons."
