A garden society flower show has celebrated the best in horticulture, homegrown produce, and homemade treats.
The Esher Molesey Garden Society’s flower show took place at St Nicholas’ Church Hall in Thames Ditton with almost 300 entries on display.
Fruit, flowers, vegetables, cakes, jams, and photographs filled the venue, despite challenging weather earlier in the season. The event also featured afternoon tea, a raffle with dinner for two at The French Table, and a plant sale.
A spokesman for the society said: "Never mind this year’s challenging weather, local gardeners and allotment holders from the Esher Molesey Garden Society excelled to stage a glorious flower show last weekend."
Classes were open to both seasoned gardeners and beginners, with some of the most coveted awards including the Banksian Medal, presented by the Royal Horticultural Society, and the Mabs Hawley Memorial Cup, given to the allotment society with the most points.
The Esher Molesey Garden Society welcomes new members and offers garden visits, talks, and a discounted garden shop for members.
