A woman is accused of kicking a dog to death outside a shop in New Malden.
Ellie-Mae Murphy, 18, from Streatham, is charged with causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal.
The charge relates to an incident at Quality Choice on Kingston Road on December 2 last year.
A Chihuahua named Rolo, which did not belong to the defendant, died following an incident on that day.
The details of the charge allege that Murphy "kicked a dog to death."

Murphy appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Friday (August 14).
She was not asked to enter a formal plea to the charge.
The case was sent to Kingston upon Thames Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing next month.
Murphy was released on unconditional bail until that hearing.
