A van burst into flames on a motorway slip road, leaving two people injured and causing major traffic disruption.
The incident happened around 12pm yesterday (August 12) on the M3 exit slip road from the M25 at the Thorpe interchange in Surrey.
Emergency services responded to the scene, where a van was found fully alight.
A Surrey Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We received a call this afternoon around 12pm to a report of a small vehicle fire on the M3 exit slip road from the M25, between Chertsey and Camberley, at the Thorpe interchange.
"A small van had caught fire, with the entire vehicle alight.
"Crews remain at the scene tackling the fire.
"Ambulance services are also in attendance."
South East Coast Ambulance Service confirmed that two people were treated at the scene.
One patient suffered smoke inhalation, while the other sustained burns to their leg.
Both were taken to St Peter's Hospital in Chertsey for further treatment.
The blaze led to significant delays, with all lanes temporarily stopped and more than three miles of congestion reported.

Traffic backed up onto the M25 towards Junction 10 at Wisley and Junction 13 at Staines.
Some drivers reported being stuck in gridlock for nearly an hour.
Despite the disruption, an ice cream van was seen serving stranded motorists, offering a brief moment of relief.
Traffic flow eventually returned to normal following recovery and clean-up operations.
