A woman has been arrested after a major crash in Croydon where a man died and two were left injured.
Emergency services were called to Beddington Farm Road on Sunday (July 5) at 10.46pm following reports of a crash between a moped and a car.
The moped driver, a man in his 40s, was found unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers are in the process of contacting his next of kin.
Two passengers from the car were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening and non-life-changing injuries.
Another passengers suffered injuries but did not need hospital treatment.
The driver of the car, a woman, was arrested at the scene.
She is now assisting police with their investigation and remains in police custody.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "Urgent enquiries are ongoing."
"Anyone with information or dashcam footage that may help police with their investigation is asked to call 101 quoting reference CAD 8221/05JUL."
