Two people have been rushed to hospital after a stabbing in Croydon.

London Ambulance Service was called to Victoria Mews at 5.51pm on July 2.

A spokesperson said: "We sent resources to the scene including ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer.

"We also dispatched London Air Ambulance.

"Two patients were treated at the scene; both were taken to a major trauma centre as a priority by road."

Eyewitnesses have reported that a cordon was in place from Rush salon in George Street to East Croydon.

More information is awaited from the Metropolitan Police.
