Flowers have been laid outside a building following the discovery of the body of a three-year-old girl.
Surrey Police were called to a property on Pyrcroft Road, Chertsey, at around 5.40pm yesterday (June 25) with reports of concerns for safety.
The young child was found dead at the scene.
Flowers and balloons have begun to be left outside Syward Place, on Pyrcroft Road, today (June 26) after the significant emergency service response.
Attached to one bouquet of light pink roses is a "love" balloon and a message reading: "Rest in peace beautiful girl. Too good for this Earth.
"May you rest in paradise.
"Sending love and healing to your friends and family."
A 31-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.
He was taken to hospital with a serious injury and will be moved into custody once discharged.
Surrey Police believes the incident "occurred within a family setting" and are not seeking anyone else in connection.
