A half-term cycling adventure is becoming a mission of meaning for one grateful dad and his young daughter.
Will Macdonald and his seven-year-old daughter Tabby, from Tooting, are cycling 90 miles across the Outer Hebrides to raise funds for the mental health charity Mind.
The journey will see them camp and ride across the southern half of the Hebridean Way, taking in eight islands including Barra, South Uist, and North Uist. Their route will take them across Vatersay, Barra, Eriskay, South Uist, Benbecula, Grimsay, Baleshare, and North Uist.

Mr Macdonald described the challenge as a “Herculean task” and said the pair were inspired by the positive impact nature and exercise can have on mental wellbeing.
Speaking on their JustGiving page, Mr Macdonald said: "We’re chasing the brilliant blues and greens of the Outer Hebrides, the stunning turquoise seas and wild hills.
"Nature and exercise are powerful tools for mental wellbeing. We want to show how getting outside lifts your spirits and chases away the blues, whilst raising vital funds so no one faces a mental health problem alone."
