A brand new SEND school in Battersea is due to open early next year.
Shillington Park School, part of the Kedleston Group’s expanding portfolio, will open in January 2027 following the extensive redevelopment of a former primary school site.
The school will provide up to 72 places for children with complex needs associated with autism and other special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), offering small class sizes of eight to 10 pupils.
The school aims to provide highly personalised learning through a high staff-to-pupil ratio and tailored programmes, drawing on Kedleston Group’s experience in specialist education.
Designed to reflect the group’s established ethos, the building will feature subject-specific classrooms, immersive sensory rooms, and dedicated outdoor learning areas intended to create a calm and supportive environment where pupils can thrive.

Shillington Park will become part of Kedleston’s network of London schools, joining Brookways School in Sutton, Silverways School in Enfield, Leaways School in Hackney, and Mapesbury School in Brent.
This network will allow for collaboration and shared expertise across the city. The addition of Shillington Park will bring Kedleston Group’s total number of SEN schools to 15 across England.
The opening will help address the ongoing demand for specialist school places in London, with many parents and local authorities struggling to secure appropriate provision for children with complex needs.
Kedleston Group is inviting interested families to attend open events in May and July to learn more about the new school and its approach to SEND education.
