A man has been injured after an assault in Sutton.

Part of Sutton station was taped up on Saturday (April 11) following the incident at 10.40am.

Officers attended and a man was taken to hospital with a head injury.

Days later, police are continuing to investigate the incident.

While a section of the station was taped off at the entrance, the station itself remained open.

A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “We were called to Sutton station at 10.40am on Saturday (April 11) following reports of an assault.

“Officers attended and a man was taken to hospital with a head injury.

“An investigation into the incident is ongoing.”
