A popular Kennington pub with a history of starring on screen has been spotted amid mystery filming.
Filming activity was seen taking place at The Black Prince pub on Black Prince Road, with crews on site and large screens erected around the building.
The pub appeared to be partially closed off while production equipment was set up, catching the attention of locals.
Although no official confirmation has been given about the production, the presence of filming screens and crew suggests the historic boozer is once again playing host to a high-profile project.
Located just off Lambeth Walk, the early 20th-century pub has had its fair share of being on screen over the years.
The pub has previously appeared in several major productions, most notably Kingsman: The Secret Service, where it featured prominently as the setting for its pivotal fight scene.
More recently, it was also used as a filming location for BBC heist drama The Gold.
It it beleived that the the latest filming at the pub could be for MobLand, a new London-set crime drama produced for Paramount+.
While this has not been confirmed, the show has been filming across the capital in recent months as reported by Time Out.
Created by Ronan Bennett, the series centres on two warring London-based organised crime families whose rivalry sends the families into chaos.
The show stars Hollywood heavyweights like Tom Hardy as Harry Da Souza, Pierce Brosnan as crime patriarch Conrad Harrigan and Helen Mirren as his wife Maeve.
The Black Prince could join a growing list of well-known London locations to feature in the series alongside the St Pancras Hotel and Loulou’s in Mayfair.
There is no confirmed date for the new season of MobLand, with production currently underway, however there is speculation that the show could air by late 2026.
