0171 Croydon Trafway RP (Freeholdco) Limited, the applicant, has submitted a planning application to Croydon Council, which has now been sent for decision, London Now reports, where further details of the proposal can be read.
The mezzanine would be built entirely within the existing building, increasing the store’s total internal area by 2,409 square metres.
If approved, this would allow for more retail space as well as the addition of a gym facility.
There would be minor external alterations and no increase in the building’s height.
Parking and access arrangements would remain unchanged.
Construction work is proposed to begin in June 2026 and would be expected to be completed by August 2026, should permission be granted.
