A mobile planetarium is set to bring immersive astronomy experiences to London in early this year, as reported by our sister title London Now.
Planetarium Go UK will make its debut at Battersea Power Station, running from January 30 to March 1, 2026, in Power Station Park.
Originally from Spain, Planetarium Go UK combines science-led storytelling with high-resolution visual displays to ignite curiosity and interest in STEM from an early age, London Now reports, where further details of the attraction can be found.
José Jiménez, CEO of Planetarium Go UK and AstroÁndalus, said: "Our purpose is to bring science to more places and offer immersive experiences that spark curiosity and inspire STEM pathways from an early age.
"Planetarium Go UK blends education and excitement to transform learning into a memorable experience.
"We work with communities, schools and local organisations to make science accessible to everyone, bringing a mobile planetarium to cities that do not yet have one."
Visitors will step inside a state-of-the-art mobile planetarium to experience the wonders of space through vivid, high-resolution projections and immersive storytelling.
Renee Moran, interim head of asset management at Battersea Power Station Development Company, said: "We’re thrilled to be welcoming Planetarium Go UK to Battersea Power Station and to be the first destination in the UK to host this exciting experiential pop-up.
"It’s a fantastic opportunity for visitors of all ages to discover and learn more about astronomy and we can’t wait for everyone to enjoy the Planetarium when it arrives in the new year."
The experience is designed to be educational, memorable and inspiring, making science more accessible to the public.
With more than 150 shops, bars, and restaurants nearby, Battersea Power Station offers a full day out for families, school groups, and curious visitors.
The planetarium will be open from 10am to 7pm Monday to Thursday and on Sundays, and from 10am to 8.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
Standard tickets are priced at £15, while student tickets are available for £12.
School group bookings cost £9.50 per student, with one free teacher ticket provided for every 10 students.
Family packages start at £39 for three people.
