A new women’s health clinic has opened to improve access to specialist care.
London Gynaecology launched its latest clinic in Richmond on October 20, coinciding with World Menopause Day.
The opening comes amid rising demand for personalised gynaecology services in south west London, where more than a third of women on waiting lists are waiting more than 18 weeks for treatment.
Geoff Bamber, CEO of London Gynaecology and a Richmond resident, said: "Our ambition has always been to deliver first-class gynaecology care with compassion at every stage of a woman’s life.
"Expanding into Richmond allows us to support more women with faster access to specialist care in their local community."
The new clinic, located on Paradise Road, offers a full range of gynaecological services, including early pregnancy care, fibroid treatment, menopause management, endometriosis care and sexual health support.
The team is led by senior NHS consultants with extensive experience in women’s health.
Richmond has recently been named the UK’s top town for women embracing motherhood later in life, with most babies born to women over 35 and one in 10 births to women aged 40 or above.
This trend has contributed to growing demand for fertility checks, menopause support and other reproductive health services.
To mark the opening and World Menopause Day, London Gynaecology Richmond hosted a free menopause drop-in session led by Dr Claire Phipps, an experienced and supportive GP and BMS menopause specialist.
Dr Phipps said: "We know many women in Richmond struggle to access timely care — whether for menopause, fertility concerns, or gynaecological issues.
"This clinic is designed to provide a welcoming, accessible space for local women to get the answers and support they need."
The session gave local women the chance to ask Dr Phipps questions and receive expert guidance in a supportive setting.
London Gynaecology was founded in 2010 by husband-and-wife team Narendra and Pradnya Pisal.
It is now the UK’s largest dedicated gynaecology practice, with clinics at The Portland Hospital, Harley Street, Moorgate, and now Richmond.
The practice is known for combining advanced medical expertise with personalised, patient-centred care.
