Firework Night is fast approaching and this year south London is gearing up to host a bunch of fun displays.
From family-friendly evenings to dazzling pyrotechnic shows, there’s something for everyone to enjoy in south London this year.
Battersea Park returns with a two-night display designed by the team behind London’s iconic New Year’s Eve celebrations, while parks across Morden, Wimbledon, Richmond and Sanderstead host their own festive events packed with funfair rides, live music, food stalls and, of course, fireworks.
We’ve rounded up all the firework displays happening in south London this year and what you need to know:
Battersea Park Fireworks
When: Saturday & Sunday, November 1 & 2, 6:30pm (Saturday fireworks 8:30pm, Sunday fireworks 7pm)
Tickets: Adults £14.20, Children (5-15) £9.50, Under 5s free
Returning to south London this year, Battersea Park Fireworks is back with a bang, with two nights of pyrotechnics designed by Titanium Pyrotechnics, who famously design London’s New Year’s Eve celebrations.
Saturday’s Fireworks Night features the Day of the Dead Party, Big Smoke Brass UK, fire dancers, acrobats, and a Massaoke afterparty.
Sunday’s event is more geared for families, with kid-friendly entertainment including the Flash Bang Brass LED Dance Experience, The Ogretones Shrek tribute band, fairground rides, and an finishing with the fireworks display.
Food and drink will also be on offer both days along with amusements.
Morden & Wimbledon Parks Fireworks
When: Morden Park – Wednesday, November 5, 5:15pm; Wimbledon Park – Saturday, November 8, 5:15pm
Tickets: Adults £14, Children (5-15) £10, Family (2 adults & 2 children) £41
The new-look Fireworks in the Park events promise two musical shows at each venue.
Visitors can gear up for the main event with a funfair, street food village and refreshments.
Each park hosts two shows – an earlier family-friendly display and a later evening show for the adults.
Gates open at 5:15pm, with the first fireworks at 6:45pm and a second show at 8:30pm.
Richmond – Family Fireworks Night
When: Sunday, November 2, 4:30pm – 11pm (fireworks start 7pm)
Tickets: Grandstand £17.50, Adults £12.50, Children (5-15) £7.50, Parking £10
Richmond’s Family Fireworks Night is a much-loved annual event featuring a fully choreographed fireworks display to music.
Gates open at 4:30pm with funfair rides, food stalls, and a Happy Hour in the bars until 5:30pm, with the fireworks to begin at 7pm,, but the funfair and stalls remain open until 9pm.
Sanderstead Fireworks – Atwood Primary School, CR2 9EE
When: Wednesday, November 5, 4:30pm (fireworks start 6:15pm)
Tickets: Adults £8, Children (2-15) £6, Under 2s free, Family of 4 £20
The Friends of Atwood Primary return with their popular Sanderstead Fireworks display for another year.
Gates open at 4:30pm, with the fireworks kicking off at 6:15pm.
All proceeds support the school’s fundraising efforts.
Food, drinks, and festive stalls will also be available, though outside food and sparklers are not permitted.
