A man has been charged with murder after a fatal stabbing in Brixton.

Troy Ramsundar, 34, was stabbed to death on Brixton Road in the early morning on March 20.

The emergency services were called shortly after 5am and paramedics treated Troy for stab wounds, but he died at the scene.

Ibrahim Gonclaves-Cumare, 30, of no fixed address, was charged with murder yesterday (March 23).

Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie, from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command and leading the investigation, described the death as a “devastating tragedy”.

He previously said: “My thoughts are with the victim's family and friends at this devastating time.

“I understand the shock and concern this incident will have on the Brixton community.

“My team are already working diligently to gather evidence and establish what led to this tragedy.”
