A teenager has been taken to hospital after a stabbing in Croydon.
The 19-year-old was found with stab injuries after the attack in George Street on Tuesday (March 4) at 9.52pm.
He was taken to hospital where his injuries have been confirmed as non-life-threatening.
Two men in their 20s were arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and remain in police custody.
Shortly after the stabbing, a 19-year-old man was also taken to hospital after a crash while on a bike.
He remains in hospital for observation and has been arrested on suspicion of robbery.
An overnight police cordon was in place in the centre and Drummond Road was closed for around 15 hours from Frith Road to Tamworth Road.
However this has since been lifted today (March 5).
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police were called to a reported stabbing in George Street, Croydon at 21:52hrs on Tuesday, 4 March.
“Two men in their 20s were arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. They remain in police custody. The victim of the stabbing, aged 19, was taken to hospital. His injuries were confirmed to be non-life-threatening.
“Shortly after the incident, a 19-year-old man was taken to hospital after being involved in a collision while on a bicycle. He remains there for observation and has been arrested on suspicion of robbery.
“An investigation is under way and all lines of enquiry remain open. The scene has been closed.”
