Police have closed off a residential road in Brixton after gunshots were reportedly heard.

An investigation has launched after locals said they heard shots at Tilson Gardens, near Pearce House, at around 10.45pm yesterday (October 30).

The road was blocked off by police, with multiple police cars in the area as officers looked into the reports.

There were no reported injuries and suspects had left the scene, with no arrests made.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 22:43hrs on Wednesday, 30 October to reports of gunshots heard on Tilson Gardens, SW2.

“Officers attended. There were no reported injuries and suspects had left the scene. 

“At this early stage there have been no arrests.

“An investigation is underway.”
