Some South Western trains will be cancelled, diverted or replaced by buses this weekend due to maintenance work.

The work will affect trains on Saturday (September 21) and Sunday (September 22).

Surrey Pride is tomorrow (September 21) and South Western Railway has warned passengers that replacement buses will be extremely busy.

We have compiled all the details on these works so that you can plan your journey this weekend.

Guildford area:

The lines in the Guildford area will be closed all weekend due to maintenance work.

September 21 (Saturday):

London Waterloo to Portsmouth via Guildford services will terminate at Woking.

Replacement buses will run between Woking, Guildford and Haslemere.

London Waterloo to Guildford via Epsom services will terminate at Clandon.

London Waterloo to Guildford via Cobham services will start from Surbiton. 

These services will run hourly and will terminate at Clandon.

Buses will run between Clandon and Guildford.

London Waterloo to Woking stopping services will call additionally at Raynes Park, New Malden and Berrylands.       

London Waterloo to Basingstoke stopping services and London Waterloo to Alton services will run combined to Woking where the train will divide.

 

September 22 (Sunday):

London Waterloo to Portsmouth via Guildford services will terminate at Woking.

Replacement buses will run between Woking, Guildford and Haslemere.

A revised service will run between Haslemere and Portsmouth.

London Waterloo to Guildford via Epsom services will terminate at Clandon.

London Waterloo/Wimbledon to Guildford via Cobham services will start from Surbiton and will terminate at Clandon.

Buses will run between Clandon and Guildford.

London Waterloo to Guildford stopping services will terminate at Woking.

Buses will run between Woking, Worplesdon and Guildford.

 

Salisbury area:

September 21 (Saturday):

The lines in the Salisbury area will be closed all weekend due to maintenance work.

London Waterloo to Exeter services will start from Salisbury.

A revised service will run between London Waterloo and Basingstoke.

A revised service will run between Basingstoke and Andover.

Buses will run between Andover and Salisbury.

Salisbury to Romsey via Southampton services will not run.

Buses will run between Salisbury and Southampton Central via Redbridge.

Buses will run between Southampton Central and Romsey via Eastleigh.

 

September 22 (Sunday):

London Waterloo to Exeter services will start from Gillingham.

A revised service will run between London Waterloo and Basingstoke.

Reading to Salisbury services will not run.

A revised service will run between Basingstoke and Andover.

Buses will run between Basingstoke and Gillingham (non-stop).

Buses will run between Andover and Gillingham via Salisbury.

Salisbury to Romsey via Southampton services will not run.

Buses will run between Salisbury and Southampton Central via Redbridge.

Buses will run between Southampton Central and Romsey via Eastleigh.

 

Barnes area:

The lines in the Barnes area will be closed all day on Sunday due to maintenance work.

September 22 (Sunday):

Queenstown Road station will be closed all day.

London Waterloo to Reading services will be revised and will be diverted between Clapham Junction and Twickenham. 

These services will call additionally at Wimbledon, Kingston and Strawberry Hill.

London Waterloo to Windsor services will be revised.
An hourly service will be diverted between Clapham Junction and Twickenham via Kingston calling at all stations.
An hourly service will start from Barnes calling at all stations.

London Waterloo to London Waterloo via Wimbledon and Kingston services will be revised and will only run between Kingston and Barnes via Richmond.

Additional services will run between Barnes and Twickenham via Richmond.

London Waterloo to Woking via Staines services will be revised and will start from Barnes.

Replacement buses will run between Clapham Junction and Barnes.

The afternoon and evening London Waterloo to Kingston via Hounslow services will not run.
