A thug who was convicted of attempted murder after he stabbed his wife is on the run and might be in Croydon.
Sharaz Ali, 43, tried to murder his wife in Stechford, Birmingham, three years ago on September 10, 2021.
Ali failed to attend his trial in August 2022 and was convicted in his absence.
West Midlands Police have been searching for him since and a bench warrant has been issued.
A police spokesperson said: “We've been working hard to trace his whereabouts and understand he had been known to stay in Croydon, London.”
West Midlands Police said they have been working with other police forces and investigating his previous movements to try to establish where he is.
“If you've seen him, or know where he is, please do not approach him, but call 999 immediately, quoting investigation number 20/1410584/21,” a police spokesperson said.
“Alternatively, report information anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
