The former owner of vape shop is accused of plying a 14-year-old girl with tequila and raping her.
Iqbal Singh, 44, is charged with multiple sexual offences against the teen girl over a six month period in 2020.
The offences are all alleged to have taken place at Phone Repairs and Vape Store on Station Way, Cheam, which he owned.
Singh sold the shop in 2023 and the new owners said they are not affiliated with the defendant.
Singh is charged with one count of rape and four counts of sexual assault by touching.
He is also accused of administering tequila and THC with intent to stupefy or overpower the girl to enable him to engage in sexual activity with her.
Singh appeared at Croydon Crown Court on Wednesday (September 11, 2024).
He pleaded not guilty to all seven charges against him.
Judge Anthony Dunne set a date for trial in September 2025.
Singh, of Gascoigne Road in Croydon, was granted conditional bail until then.
