A shopping centre in Croydon was evacuated today.
This morning, the Croydon Centrale shopping centre on North End was evacuated when an fire alarm went off around 11.30am.
Shoppers and staff were asked to leave the building as a safety measure.
Emergency services arrived quickly and checked the situation.
London Fire Brigade confirmed that the alarm was false, meaning there was no fire because of this, the emergency crews didn’t need to take any further action.
The shopping centre has since reopened, and everything is back to normal.
