It is alleged that a man attempted to rape a woman in Croydon yesterday morning.
Police were called at 9am on Monday, August 19, to reports of the sexual assault on Purely Way.
The woman was physically unharmed and is being supported by officers.
Nobody has been arrested and officers are now appealing for witnesses.
The investigation is ongoing.
Any witnesses or people with further information are asked to call 101 or ‘X’ @MetCC and quote CAD1813.19AUG.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 9:00hrs on Monday, 19 August to reports of a sexual assault on Purley Way, Croydon.
“Officers attended and heard a man had attempted to rape a woman.
“The woman was physically unharmed and is being seen by specialist officers.
“No one has been arrested at this stage. The investigation is ongoing.
“Anyone with information is asked to call 101 or ‘X’ @MetCC and quote CAD1813.19AUG.
“You can also provide information anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
