Thames Water has warned customers not to fall for an email containing false information.
The company today confirmed there has been a “false email” circulated in the Croydon area with the postcode CR2.
The email contains the subject of water being restricted.
Thames Water has confirmed that there are no water quality issues being tracked in this region today.
A spokesperson for Thames Water has asked people to “disregard any misleading information”.
A spokesperson for Thames Water said: “We have been informed of a false email restricting use of water being circulated in Croydon, CR2.
“We confirm that there are no Water Quality issues being tracked in this region.
“Please disregard any misleading information.”
