There are concerns for the welfare of a missing woman with links to south London.

Fatima Maria Menezes Nunes is believed to have left her home in Hayes between 6.30am and 9.30am on Friday, May 10.

On Monday, May 13 the 57-year-old was reported missing.

Since then, police have carried out checks to try and find her, including a social media appeal.

She is vulnerable and her family, as well as police, are very concerned for her welfare.

Fatima is known to frequent Brixton, The Oval, Clapham, Harlesden and Portuguese shops and restaurants.

She requires medication for multiple ailments and walks with a limp, according to police.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police are concerned for the welfare of a woman who has been missing from her home in Hayes for 10 days.

“Fatima Maria Menezes Nunes, 57, is believed to have left her home address in Hayes between 06:30hrs - 0930hrs on Friday, 10 May.

“She was reported missing on Monday, 13 May and police have since then carried out a wealth of checks to locate her, including a recent social media appeal.

“Fatima is vulnerable and her family, and police, are very concerned for her welfare.

“She's known to frequent Brixton, The Oval, Clapham, Harlesdesn and Portuguese shops and restaurants.

“Fatima requires medication for a number of ailments. She walks with a limp.
