A person has been taken to a place of safety after an incident at a train station in Wimbledon.
Concerns for the welfare of a person were raised near Raynes Park just after 3.20pm yesterday (May 15).
Officers attended and the person was taken to a place of safety.
The incident has affected services at London Waterloo Station which forced trains to be cancelled.
Although the incident has been resolved, train services running through Wimbledon continue to be delayed with disruption expected until 10am today (May 16).
Other affected routes include South Western Railway in Hampton Court, Shepperton, Chessington South, Woking, Alton, Dorking, Guildford, Basingstoke, Yeovil Junction, Exeter St Davids, Portsmouth & Southsea, Portsmouth Harbour, and Weymouth as well as Thameslink between St Albans City and Sutton.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to the line near Raynes Park at around 3.22pm yesterday (15 May) following reports of concern for welfare. Officers attended and a person was taken to a place of safety.”
