A male has been arrested in south London on suspicion of drink and drug driving after a huge crash.
Police were called to Worcester Park station yesterday (Friday, May 3) shortly after 7pm to a crash involving two cars.
Two male pedestrians were taken to hospital where their injuries have been assessed as not life-threatening.
The occupants of one of the cars fled the scene.
Road closures were in place yesterday evening and have now been lifted.
Police enquiries continue.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called at approximately 19:10hrs on Friday, 3 May to reports of a road traffic collision involving two cars outside Worcester Park station.
"Officers and London Ambulance Service attended.
"Two male pedestrians were taken to hospital for treatment to injuries; their conditions are not life threatening.
"The occupants of one of the cars fled the scene.
"One male was subsequently arrested nearby on suspicion of drink/drug drive.
"Road closures were put in place while the scene was dealt with; these have now been lifted.
"Enquiries into the circumstances continue."
