TWO women were taken to hospital with facial injuries and a broken jaw following a fight at a pub in Liverpool City Centre.

At around 11.10pm on Friday, April 26, police received a report of a fight at the Lime Street Central Pub. It was reported that a man and a woman attacked two women after an argument inside the pub.

Shortly after the incident the man and woman attacked one of the women again in the porch area of the pub.

Both women were taken to hospital after the assault.

One sustained bruises and cuts to her face and head and the other sustained a broken jaw which required surgery.

Since the assault extensive CCTV and witness enquiries have been conducted in the area.

Detective Inspector Neil Dillon said: "This was a violent attack that has left a woman with a serious injury to her face.

"Everyone should be able go out and feel safe in their own community without the fear of being attacked and we are working to find those responsible.

"I am appealing to the man and woman shown in this CCTV footage, or anyone who recognises them to come forward as we believe they could hold information that could be vital to our continuing enquiries.

"Similarly, if you were at the pub at around 11pm on Friday 26 April and saw the assault or those involved in this incident please contact police as soon as possible.

“Any information you hold could be crucial to our enquiries.”
