A HUGE haul of knives has been handed over to police.
Cheshire Police has issued a picture of the large collection of blades, which will now be destroyed.
The array of knives were discovered by a Warrington resident following the house clearance of a relative in the town.
Officers say anyone who has an unwanted knife can hand it in for destruction.
The force’s Warrington Police team said: “This haul of knives has been handed in today by a lady who had been cleaning out a property of family member who had recently died.
“If you have any knives that you want to dispose of and you are unsure how to, look out for our knife surrender bins in your area during Operation Sceptre Week from May 13.
“Any knives can be handed in, including any old kitchen knives you no longer use.
“We can get rid of them for you rather than you having them lying around the house.”
Social media users in the comments section joked that the collection must have belonged to film character John Rambo.
