The BBC Apprentice winner from 2023 has expanded her south east London boxing gym with Lord Sugar’s £250,000 investment.

Marnie Swindells won the 2023 series of The Apprentice asking for Lord Sugar to invest in her Bronx boxing gym, nestled underneath flats and houses on Benhill Road in Camberwell.

The £250,000 investment has allowed Marnie to expand the gym with state-of-the-art facilities, allowing it to become an affordable place for those in the community to meet up, train, learn discipline and feel a sense of belonging.

On Wednesday (April 24), the newly expanded facility is holding a launch event, with star boxing names, celebrities and members of the community attending from 7pm until late.

Marnie has worked with the Met Police's Unite programme offering boxing sessions to youngsters in the area, local schools use the facility, and Bronx has already become something of a community hub used by doctors, ex-offenders, and labourers - all coming together as one.

Bronx’s mantra is ‘Beyond Boxing’ - and Marnie says she wants to “continue to expand the work in the inner-city community”, as well as provide a 360-degree service to help boxers and users to develop and fulfil their full potential.
