South London is set to welcome a brand-new dog-friendly pub in April following a £1 million building revamp project.

The Red Setter is set to open its doors on April 4 and is located on Northcote Road between Battersea and Clapham.

This latest pub to be opened by owners UK Pubs & Bars follows a £1 million restoration project to the venue.

The Red Setter marks the latest pub to be acquired by the company that operates 42 pubs, bars and restaurants across London, including venues such as The Wheatsheaf in Tooting and the Bat & Ball in London.

The pub's menu will offer a diverse range of British cuisine from Sunday roasts to brunch, along with a selection of mixed cocktails.

The design of the pub has been created to offer a “welcoming” atmosphere for punters looking for casual get-togethers to special celebrations.

Alluded to by its namesake, The Red Setter welcomes dogs into its establishment, with owners of Red Setters invited to join guests for a special VIP launch, with a photo call of red setters standing outside.

Any Red Setter owners are invited to contact the pub to attend the launch on April 4.

Located a short way from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, the pub has also pledged to donate 50p from every Sunday roast to the animal charity.

UP&B Managing Director, Chris Hill, said: “Being here in Northcote Road, Battersea fills us with excitement.

“We're counting down the moments until we can open our doors and invite you all to enjoy the exceptional standards that Urban Pubs & Bars is known for.”
