Two fathers' rights protestors who scaled Labour deputy leader Harriet Harman's home will be tried in court for harassment and using threatening words and behaviour.

Fathers 4 Justice campaigners Nigel John Ace, 40, from Bristol, and Anthony Ashby, 42, from Leicester, staged the rooftop protest on July 9 dressed as superheroes Spiderman and Batman, draping a flag on Ms Harman's wall saying "Stop the war on dads".

They were both arrested after coming down off the roof the same day.

Both pleaded not guilty to the charges at Tower Bridge magistrate's court last Thursday. They were bailed and will face trial there on September 8.

It is the second rooftop protest on Ms Harman's home by Fathers 4 Justice in little over a month.

Dressed as self-dubbed superheroes "Captain Conception" and "Cash Gordon", John Paul Stanesby, 41, and Mark Harris, 46, both from south Devon, spent more than 24 hours on the roof of the Cabinet minister's home on June 9.

They are due to appear at Tower Bridge Magistrates' Court tomorrow to face charges of harassment.
