A busy footpath in Sutton could be closed for up to three months due to water works.

New water main connections are set to be installed on Goose Green Footpath between its junctions with Richmond Road and B272 Beddington Lane.

While the works are taking place, and traffic signs are displayed, the footpath will be closed.

The Order will start from Monday, February 5 and is expected to take three weeks to complete, however, the Order is in place for three months in case more work is needed.

An alternative route for traffic will be via Richmond Road, B272 Beddington Lane and vice versa.

Cars should still reach houses next to the closed road, as long as it doesn't disrupt the construction work.

The works are expected to be finished by Monday, February 26, 2024.
