An artist's impression of a man who tried to get two young girls to expose themselves in exchange for money has been released.

The girls were approached by the man, who was riding a bicycle, on June 29 when they were walking on heath land between Brighton Road and Hatch Gardens in Tadworth at about 2pm.

He offered the girls, aged 11 and 15, money in exchange for exposing themselves. The youngsters refused and walked away. The man then cycled off.

He is described as a white man, in his 30s, 5ft 7in to 5ft 8in tall, with short brown fluffy hair with greying strands, of stocky build and had a deep local accent.

He was wearing a cream cardigan, a white T-shirt, dark blue knee-length trousers and white trainers. He was carrying a black laptop style satchel with a shoulder strap and riding a pushbike.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Howard Jones said: "This is an isolated incident but I am appealing to members of the community to look closely at the E-fit and come forward if you think you recognise this man.

"Officers carried out a search of the heath land at the time of the incident but were unable to locate the suspect. It is vital anyone who recognises the suspect comes forward with the information I need in order to arrest and bring him to justice."
