Croydon is "increasingly safer", senior police and the council say in a statement in the wake of attack on officers by a mob of youths.

Please don't take us for idiots I've lived in Croydon for 46 years and the place is rapidly going downhill the senior coppers and council leaders probably all live in the leafy part of croydon or outside the borough

People don't even bother to report crime anymore me and my family have all been mugged in town centre and haven't even bothered reporting it. I prefer to shop outside of Croydon and talking to people most are giving Croydon a miss because of all the idiots hanging about.
