Throughout the month of February, we’re telling the story of the 21 teenagers who were murdered in 2023. Our campaign, The 21, seeks to remember every victim as a young person with a family and their whole life ahead of them. We want to change the culture of kids carrying knives and becoming involved in violence.

This is the face of Victor Lee, a 17-year-old boy who was stabbed to death in Ladbroke Grove in 2023.

Here is a timeline of events and everything we know so far about his death:

Sunday, June 25:

Victor Lee was found with stab wounds in a canal by Ladbroke Grove at 5.45pm.

He was pulled from the water by police but he was declared dead at the scene at 6.09pm.

Saturday, July 1:

Three boys - aged 14, 16 and 17 – were arrested on suspicion of murder.

Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie, from the Specialist Crime Command said: 'We are continuing to provide Victor's family with support during this traumatic time and our thoughts remain with them.

“This morning, we made three arrests as part of our investigation into Victor's murder. However, I still need to hear from anyone who has information about what happened last Sunday.”

Monday, July 3:

Three boys, aged 14, 16 and 17, were charged with Victor’s murder.

They appeared in custody at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court.

Wednesday, September 20:

Three boys, aged 14, 16 and 17, were charged with his murder and robbing him of his bicycle and rucksack.

The trio entered not-guilty pleas to the charges in a hearing at the Old Bailey before Judge Nigel Lickley.

They were remanded in custody ahead of a trial on May 7, 2024.
