The suspect behind a stabbing in which a man was left injured in Crystal Palace is still at large.

The incident happened in Belvedere Road at around 1.30pm yesterday (January 9).

Officers, London Ambulance Service crews, and an air ambulance attended and found a man in his 30s injured.

He was taken to hospital for treatment where his injuries were assessed as not life-threatening.

No arrests have been made following the incident.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police confirmed today (January 10) that its original statement remains accurate.

The full statement from Metropolitan Police says: “Police were called at around 13.30hrs to Belvedere Road, Croydon to reports of a stabbing.

“Officers attended and discovered a man in his 30s with stab wounds.

“He was taken to hospital where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening. 

“An investigation has been launched by detectives from South Area Command.

“Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 3185/9Jan.”
